Bespoke cabinets with walnut interiors, Little Greene Paint Company’s Lamp Black and Armac Martin’s burnished brass knobs. Customised Dekton Aura worktop and hand aged, brushed brass splashback.

Cosentino‘s Silestone Lagoon grey-white quartz supported by Farrow & Ball’s Parma Grey and Stiffkey Blue paint. Custom cabinetry finished off with satin brass handles and knobs by Armac Martin.
Shaker History
The shaker kitchen design was first inspired by “The Shakers”, a religious group famed for their high quality, handcrafted furniture.
Cherry and maple were the most commonly used woods for the production of original shaker furniture, due to their colour, strength and most importantly, availability. Shaker style furniture is now produced with a wide range of high-quality woods.
A fundamental belief they held was that everything should serve a purpose, which resulted in the introduction of designs such as tables with built in drawers. Traditional shaker design door and drawer fronts are the pinnacle of craftsmanship and functionality, with the original designs unchanged to this day.
Shaker Design
A shaker kitchen can be an excellent choice for any space, be it a new build or a grand period residence, with the versatility meaning it can be designed in traditional, minimalist and completely unique styles.
Defined by the form of their cabinets and cupboards, shaker-style kitchens often boast framed door fronts, tall larders and clever, handcrafted cabinetry and drawers.

Shaker Features
The most distinguishable feature of a shaker style kitchen is the cabinet doors, which are square framed and feature recessed panels.
Other common features include drawers with simple turned timber knobs, neatly integrated appliances, strong pegs for hanging utensils and impressive stand-alone larders or islands.
