Modern Compact Kitchen
Our brief was to create a highly practical kitchen with room to relax and dine in this long, narrow ex-garage adjoining the bungalow. In a very contemporary and simple design, we used white glass appliances and handle-less units to reduce visual clutter, while the glass wall and soft colours enhance the sense of space.
Functionally, we designed every inch to work incredibly hard, including flush sink covers to provide additional prep space. We even managed to squeeze in the wine cooler.
The work surface is made of smooth white Corian, complemented by handle-less matt lacquer doors. The wood-effect floor adds homely warmth to an otherwise cool design.
To provide more space to cook, we extended the depth of the work surface. The angled extractor hood becomes a focal point of the design, while a wall of toughened glass provides reflection that makes the room feel wider. Floating shelves light
